The Sabbat Wickcraft Collective ~ Samhain 🎃🍂

🎃 First in the Series: Samhain 🍂

The veil is thin. The fire is lit. The season turns.

Samhain (pronounced SAH-win) is one of the oldest and most sacred festivals on the Celtic Wheel of the Year, observed on October 31st. It marks the end of the harvest, the beginning of the dark half of the year, and a time when the veil between the living and the spirit world is at its thinnest. It is a night for honouring ancestors, releasing what no longer serves, and stepping into the mystery of what comes next.

A Simple Samhain Ritual with your candle:

Find a quiet space and light your Sabbat candle at dusk or after dark.
On your scroll, write one thing you are releasing ~ a fear, a habit, a chapter that has ended.
Hold the scroll to the flame (safely!) and let it burn away, offering it to the universe.
Sit with the candlelight. Let the warmth remind you: endings are also beginnings.
As your candle burns down, your crystal will be waiting ~ cleanse it under moonlight and keep it as your talisman for the season ahead.

CRYSTAL REVEAL 🔮

This Samhain edition features Tumbled Green Quartz ~ a shimmering, mossy green beauty tied on top of your candle with twine. Only 10 available ~ once they are gone, they are gone.

Green Quartz carries the energy of transformation, abundance, and heart healing ~ the perfect talisman for releasing the old and inviting in the new as the wheel turns toward the dark half of the year. Cleanse it under moonlight after your ritual and keep it as your Samhain talisman. 💚

THE GREEN REVEAL ~ Colour Magic & Meaning:

💚 Green is the colour of the earth, the harvest, and the heart. In candle magic, green represents growth, abundance, renewal, fertility, and healing. At Samhain ~ a time of both endings and new beginnings ~ green reminds us that even as the world turns dark and still, life is quietly gathering beneath the surface, ready to rise again. It is the colour of hope carried through the dark.

SCENT REVEAL 🔮

This Samhain candle is scented with a custom essential oil blend of Lavender, Clary Sage & Grapefruit ~ each chosen for their energetic properties and their harmony as a trio for this sacred season.

💜 Lavender ~ the great calmer and protector. Lavender brings peace, purification, and restful energy ~ soothing the spirit as we release what no longer serves and prepare to cross the threshold into the dark half of the year. It also carries a long history of use in rituals for sleep, dreams, and communication with the spirit world ~ especially powerful at Samhain.
🌿 Clary Sage ~ the herb of clarity and vision. Clary sage opens the third eye, deepens intuition, and supports inner wisdom. At Samhain, when the veil is thin and our ancestors are near, clary sage helps us listen ~ to the messages carried through the dark, and to the truth within ourselves.
💛 Grapefruit ~ bright, cleansing, and uplifting. Grapefruit cuts through stagnant energy, clears the aura, and brings a spark of joy and renewal. It reminds us that even in the dark, there is light ~ and that releasing the old makes space for something beautiful to grow.

Herbs & Botanicals ~ Chosen with Intention:

🌿 Rosemary ~ a sacred herb of protection, purification, and remembrance. At Samhain, rosemary is traditionally burned to honour ancestors and clear the energy of what has passed. It brings clarity of mind and guards the spirit as the veil grows thin.
🌸 Red Safflower Petals ~ fiery and transformative, safflower carries the energy of passion, release, and change. Their deep crimson hue honours the blood of the harvest and the courage it takes to let go. A powerful ally for releasing what no longer serves.

Salts ~ Cleansing & Protective:

🧂 Coarse Sea Salt ~ one of the oldest tools of purification in witchcraft. Sea salt draws out stagnant and negative energy, creates sacred space, and forms a protective boundary around your ritual. Grounding and deeply cleansing.
🛑 Black Sea Salt ~ a powerful ally for banishing and psychic protection. Black sea salt absorbs and repels negative energy and unwanted spiritual influence ~ especially potent at Samhain when the veil between worlds is at its thinnest. Use it to seal your space and your intentions.
